Advisory Statement.
There is no doubt in my mind that I want to be transparent as a Muslim Business Owner.
Starting this business as a single mom, in school with little income... won't be easy.
I'm passionate about this business and I'm motivated to make it succeed.
I know I can do it alone, but I know there are sisters out there willing to help for the sake of our other sisters and Allah, alhamdulilah. This is not a non-for-profit business.
I do want to provide a business where we can Donate, Sell and Buy our Gently Used Modest & Islamic Clothing insha'Allah! I do want to provide a supplementary income for us sisters insha'Allah, with this store we will all be able to sell our gently used things for a good return price, finally! I do want to generate jobs for fellow sisters in the future, I also do want a halal income for myself too... insha'Allah! Any mom out there wants to provide for their children in a halal way. I know asking for donations and volunteering may seem extreme or uncanny. I know what many may be thinking BUT - My main goal is to get this business on its way to success in a halal way - no haram usury!
In turn, a lot of my own money and time will go into the inception of this business, so please do not think I'm seeking benefits at the beginning. Please know - the regeneration of donated items at first will be strictly going to converts, women in need, and stabilizing income to provide a place to sell our used items. Thinking of any take away income at this time would be a thought for the future, but definitely is a motivation. Do know there will be a lot of work on my end, that I truly love and I am willing to do. Part of being a Muslim Business Owner is transparency and honesty! The success and return is all from Allah, may he put Baraka in this business.. Ameen!
The idea of second hand purchasing has been around forever,
I want to be the pioneer in making second hand accessible for Modest & Islamic Clothing.
This will take a lot of time, effort, and help. But I know eventually, we can do this.
