Alhamdulillah, after so much work, support, and generosity from our community, iBuyYa Abaya is preparing to open its doors next week, Insha'Allah! To everyone who signed up, donated, shared our journey, contributed financially, or simply supported us with your duas — Jazakum Allahu Khairan.

This store truly would not be here without you.

Please read the bottom of this post for instruction on how to book your shopping appointment to support the store! Please forward this email to all sisters whom could benefit from this store insha'Allah. 

Shopping Will Be By Appointment Initially

Because our current space is very small, and because we want to maintain a comfortable environment and proper decorum for everyone, shopping will initially be available by appointment only. You may notice there is a small booking fee when making an appointment. This has been put in place primarily to help prevent no-shows and ensure that every appointment space is used. If you are a convert and/or struggling sister please reach out privately for appt booking so you can come in to get items for free and we will book you in, insha'Allah.

I also want to be completely transparent with our community: I have put essentially all of my available funds into getting this store open. I recently graduated, I am not currently working, and many of the things needed to open the store were made possible through donations, community support, and funds raised by people who believed in this vision. At this point, we need the community’s support to keep the doors open. 

If we are unable to fill enough appointment spaces this month, unfortunately, we may not be able to financially maintain the premises and the store may have to close. So please, if you know someone who would benefit from affordable modest clothing, please share iBuyYa Abaya posts and emails with them. Our goal is especially to serve those who need it most — including youth, new converts, and women in need.

If you received a 30%, 15%, or 10% off coupon, please have it ready for your appointment! We are so excited to finally welcome you into the store.

For those who have not donated yet, we are still accepting donations of modest clothing, including abayas, hijabs, khimars, niqabs, dresses, shawls, shalwar kameez, sarees, and other modest wear.

Every donation makes a difference. If you donate, you will receive coupons as a thank-you, and additional coupons will be made available as you continue to support the store insha'Allah.

If you are bringing donations in with you at time of your appointment:Please still complete the Donation Pick-Up/Drop-Off Booking Form before coming into your appt so we can properly prepare for incoming donations.

How To Book a Shopping Appointment:

1) Please look under the “Appointment Shopping Times”section on our website for the preferred available times. Or Click Above to view times.  

 2) If you haven’t completed our survey yet: Please take a moment to complete it through our website after or before booking your appointment. This information will help us understand our community and determine how we can best serve everyone.

Our pricing will initially operate on a sliding scale as we learn how to balance affordability with the actual costs of keeping the store running.

3) Government-issued ID will be required at your appointment for security purposes. We have recently noticed some suspicious activity on the site, so we are taking additional precautions to protect the store, our volunteers, donors, and customers.

Help Us Grow Slowly & Sustainably

Our hope Insha'Allah is to eventually be fully open to walk-ins and the public, particularly by Ramadan insha'Allah.

For now, however, we are intentionally starting slowly. We have a very small space, limited volunteers, and I am managing much of this myself as a single mother with limited help. Starting by appointment allows us to establish proper procedures, maintain decorum, prevent overcrowding, and make sure the store can operate smoothly before opening more broadly.
